Rev Stephen L. Williams,
Rector |
|
|
|
I
was
born in Memphis, Tennessee, educated
in both parochial school and public
schools with an undergraduate Bachelor
of Science Degree from the University
of Memphis. During my thirteen years
as a professed monk in The Order of
Holy Cross, I studied and received
my Master of Divinity Degree from
Trinity College, University of Toronto.
On leaving the Order, I married my
wife, Rachel, and we have one son,
Richard and three grandchildren. I
served parishes in the Dioceses of
Western Louisiana, Upper South Carolina,
Milwaukee and now in Los Angeles.
I was called as Rector of St. Gregory's
in December, 2000. When not engaged
in parish ministry, I enjoy reading,
singing with choral groups, travel
on land and sea, a bit of gardening,
and movies. Parish ministry continues
to challenge me in many positive ways
that enrich my life beyond measure.
I hope you will take the opportunity
to explore your own faith journey
with us, if possible, or with another
faith community. Below is my email
address. I am always glad to answer
questions about the Christian faith
and the Episcopal Church.
